whether it’s intentional or not. the NAG sure sounds like a joke. seems like it’s someone just trying to divide the city even more.
and if it is real. i doubt they’ve lived in olympia more than six months. but if it is an intentional joke, i think it’s pretty funny even if it stirs up a bunch of shit.

I take issue with a lot of the language used in this statement which is, in one case, completly autohypocritical: “And everyone likes us. We will win” which is proceeded by “Everyone hates NAG. We are perfectly content with this and prefer it that way.”

I don’t have an issue with being hypocritical if it’s acknowledged, but it doesn’t seem like it is being acknowledged here.

Saying that nobody likes Jeff is most likely not true. He certainly has people who like him, just as many other people do.

The condos would be something more than your canvas, they would be a thousand other things to other people. Houses, things blocking the view, needless development, money makers, etc.

Making statements out of opinions in this way happens often and seems to me a very disingenuous way of communicating. It doesn’t leave any space for other points of view, and if the whole world ever became a place where there was no space left for other points of view I most certainly would not to be living in it.

Also, putting people down no matter how much I have a problem with them doesn’t ever feel productive to me. I think that whatever energy or sentiment is put out into the world solicits an in-kind response (whether that response is direct or indirect). I particularly have a problem with put-downs as they seem to serve little other purpose than to objectively vilify someone or something.

I don’t necessarily have an issue with the stance or action taken, just with language and attitudes that leave little or no space for others. It feels scarily similar to language and attitudes used and held by the same people, societal structures, and organizations that this statement of action is in opposition of.

Although the group has continued to face many barriers they are still moving forward in their action.

I would like to take this time to thank you for your on going support of
the walk4justice 2008 event. I have officially left the group as of July
2, 2008 but would like express the best of the luck and wish to all the
remaining walkers. May the creator bless you all with a safe journey.

The best part of this is that the man who ripped off the head used to be a cop himself. Then, a few years ago, he had to supervise a demonstration on May 1st and that day he noticed that he “should be on the other side”. He quit his job and joined the antifa. ^^

I think the fact that he was traumatized is why he waited so long to come forward. It sounds like Sam has struggled with his past for years. It’s never too late to heal and it’s never too late for justice.
And if what you are saying is true, then it’s not true that no one is left to speak for Mr. Blake. It sounds like your husband and brother-in-law are.
And it seems to me, the issue is not entirely about the treatment that people received there. Sam is also calling for an inquiry into the foster care system that, like the residential school system, took people from their families and denied them the right to carry forth their culture.
